3 Wash Day Mistakes We Make with Deep Conditioning Natural Hair: 4c, 4b, 4a hair Friendly 3 Wash Day Mistakes We Make with Deep Conditioning Natural Hair: 4c, 4b, 4a hair Friendly So deep conditioning natural hair has many benefits. Deep conditioning is extra helpful because its softening, strengthening, and enriching benefits are longer lasting than the common rinse out conditioner formula. However to get the most out of your deep conditioner the following mistakes need to cease: 1. Using a rinse out conditioner instead of a deep conditioner 2. Deep conditioning before shampooing. ..... Click play to get the rest I discuss a few mistakes but there are others that we do in the natural hair community. We can get it in due time. *Please keep in mind you are free to take care of your hair how you like. If you choose to still continue doing these same mistakes that is perfectly fine. You do what you feel works for your hair, my loves. However, there are some of us that do these mistakes and also suffer from hair issues such as dryness, breakage, shedding, knots. My videos shed light on what could be a contributor. Thats all. I just want to help people on there hair journey. Especially 4c hair.* Basics of Conditioning Conditioners help your hair mostly through adsorbing into its outer cuticle. Adsorption refers to ingredients attaching to the surface of the hair. However some deep conditioners have ingredients with a low molecular weight and are designed to absorb beneath the cuticle layer also. To successfully adsorb the elements onto or within the hair requires the attraction of a positive and a negative charge. Conditioners contain cationic surfactants within them that carry this positive charge while after cleansing the hair itself holds a negative charge. This attraction between the two allows for adsorption to occur. If we can understand deep conditioning natural hair and have a good routine for it, hair will thrive (if there is not medical reason it wont).
